Hoge der AToday I noticed that a building had been demolished at the Hoge der A So, what buildings were removed? Google Maps still shows them: two little houses with an alley in between, left and right of the tree, to the right of 'Pakhuis Libau' (Libau warehouse). From the top: So how old were these houses? Fortunately we have Google Maps from 1643, the Haubois map: We can see the house on the left, but not the one on the right, so the large house in the back has a larger entrance then last year. Going back to 1575, the little house is not there, but there is some kind of garden, maybe with a row of of ver small houses alongside. The Libau warehouse isn't there either, but some of the houses to its left were there. So these demolished houses were from around 1600 and 1700. I heard they are going to build new appartments in this spot. I wonder what architecture they will use.
